The problem is that plastic is made to last, and indeed it lasted for a very long time. Plastic breaks into many tiny pieces, but it never disappears completely from the oceans.

Mantovani delivers a calm but passionate plea to humanity to lend a hand, as individuals, while we wait patiently for world leaders and government organizations to figure out a global plan.
